Good read for entrepreneurs who need encouragement to not give up.

You have to applaud Casuburi for being one of the first to recognize the potential of a low cost-high value fitness franchise. This book provides some good takeaways for entrepreneurs--encouragement to follow your instincts, passion and dreams to create something that will be successful. Does ever idea work? No. But the message here is that you don't need every hit to be a homer, you just need one, maybe two. What I also got from this book, is that you don't want to ever forget that it's about making every customer feel welcome and important.

This guy has a really bad track with previous business

I'm a firm believer in doing your research, planning ahead, for long-term effective/successful goals. I'm also a believer in seeing someone's continued success stories and wealth and using that towards your "drive".

With this being said, I not only read the reviews of this book that I was looking at, but went even further to research this guys' name and business(s). This guy has a really bad track with previous business, ethics, churn-burn, lawsuits, faulty contracts. From previous employees at his gyms saying "scamming people into contracts" to being sued back in 2009 by another business for "false promises and misrepresentations" I would steer clear of anything this guy has his name tied to.

I will have my popcorn ready as I have a feeling the next time I will be seeing his name may just be on an upcoming episode of "American Greed"

VERY informative book for new business owners learning their way. Clearly some disgruntled people that didn't know how to run a business blaming Mr Casaburi is the case for the off color reviews. Maybe if they read the book they would still be in business! Just a thought.

Purchased this pressure cooker book on HSN and my first recipe to make was the split pea and bacon soup (amazing in 15 minutes!) and the scalloped potatoes and ham (you will never make a different version), but my FAVORITE is Wolfgang's Reisfleisch; beyond delicious :-). This book is out of stock, but I'm certain it will return soon. Honestly, the recipes are simple but over the moon delicious. Best buy of the year!!

About the Author

With his wife Candice and their three children, Dr. Brian Simmons spent nearly eight years in the tropical rain forest of the Darien Province of Panama as a church planter, translator, and consultant. About the Author
Gordon Nickel is adjunct professor of Islamic Studies at the University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He began his study of Islam at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, where he completed an M.A. in South Asian Islam and wrote a thesis on Shah Wali Allah's principles of Qur'anic exegesis. He researched and wrote his PhD dissertation under Dr. Andrew Rippin at the University of Calgary. His dissertation focus was the theme of 'tampering with the earlier scriptures' as developed in the earliest commentaries on the Qur'an. He also has an M.A. in Hebrew Bible and has completed several years of research in Indian Islam toward a doctorate at Osmania University in Hyderabad, India. In 2011 Brill Academic Publishers published Gordon's monograph "Narratives of Tampering in the Earliest Commentaries on the Qur'an." In recent years Gordon has taught on Islam and the Qur'an at Associated Canadian Theological Schools, the University of British Columbia, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, the University of Calgary, and Columbia International University.

Gordon Nickel invites us to come and reason together!

Excellent...Excellent read...Dr. Nickel has done excellent research on this subject and calls us all to the table to reason together...
There is lots of superficial discussion of this subject but none has gone as in as detail, with as much love and respect for the other. This book addresses many false assumptions that many people have about the relationship between the Abrahamic faiths. READ READ READ!!!!!

This is a must-have-volume to whoever wants to study Islam and Christianity seriously. Dr. Nickel carefully surveys scriptural studies, both of the Qur'an and the Bible, to answer difficult questions raised by Muslims and non-Muslims. This book provides numerous topics that Muslim and Christian may have peaceful dialogues for deeper understanding on the contents of both scriptures. Read the Qur'an and the Bible! Have peaceful conversion with your neighbors! This is the invitation of the author to all.

This was a great help to me

Very impressed with the calm, collected attitude the author has towards trying to carry the conversation forward. The author included all footnotes and bibliography at the bottom of the page that contains each respective note. This was a great help to me, and shows the honesty and integrity of placing all sources right in plain view. Many authors bury these things at the end of the book, not to try and hide things, or course, but it's a pain to continually flip back and forth from the text to the notes.

One of the top 10 non-fiction books I've read. I honestly couldn't put it down. It really opened my eyes to the existence of variant Muslim scholarship since the 7th century. There's plenty of sources listed for one to continue their research with the primary sources themselves if one chooses. Very impressed with the high level of professional courtesy and scholarship presented in this book.

About the Author

Ashok Kumar Verma is a professor in the Department of Chemical  Engineering and Technology at the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) Varanasi.  He holds a BSc from Allahabad University, a BE in chemical engineering from University of Roorkee (now Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee), an ME in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Sciences, Bangalore, and a PhD in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Dr. Verma joined the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi in 1984. Dr. Verma has authored or co-authored numerous papers in journals, and national and international proceedings.
