About the Author
Judith Allwood grew up with a lot of limiting beliefs about money. Over the years she has not only tried to find her way out of poverty, but has wanted to find the reason for financial lack in the first place. Having been taught that “the cattle on a thousand hills are His” Judith found it difficult to reconcile that with the prevalence of material shortage, especially among “people of God.” A few years ago, she embarked on a personal query into the tri-subject of money, wealth and riches and to find out what God has to say about the matter. Her discoveries have put her on the path of financial peace and betterment. Judith has compiled her findings in a thought-provoking daily devotional entitled, “My God, My Money”.

What Every Christian that uses Money should Read!

I have been very lucky to review several excellent devotionals this year, and I believe that My God, My Money is my favorite! Judith Allwood's approach to a healthy relationship with God and personal finances is one that every Christian should read. Each daily devotional is about four pages long and includes scripture, a prayer, and questions for reflection on the day's topic of discussion. I found each passage to be well-researched and agreeably formatted; I was glad to see quoted scripture that is not common in run-of-the-mill devotionals. The sections on poverty, gratitude, giving, and ignorance were some of the more memorable daily readings. I had no trouble understanding what Judith was trying to convey, her genuine tone was evident throughout the whole book. Overall, I was quite satisfied after my 40 days had come to a close. I only wish that there had been more to take in. Highly recommended to all Christians who seek the Bible's advice on their finances!

This book is a gift from God himself! Thought-provoking and creatively written, this book enlightens the world that one does not have to be afraid to "want money" and God at the same time. Everyone has to survive, and it is ok to want that what is necessary to survive: money. God will be pleased because He helps those who help themselves. I truly enjoyed reading, and it made me answer questions about myself that I never realized were unanswered all my life. Very intense and powerful! A must read.

This book is absolutely astounding. It is yet the best expose I have read on the subject of money and its relationship to God. The lessons contained in this book have now become my personal mantra and guide for fiscal balance and accountability. I hope the author will produce a sequel.

"Gamelan Scores should be particularly welcome for readers...not only for the notation provided but also for the additional analytic sections. The notation includes balungan (the melody played on most of the metallophones), vocal melody, and text, colotomic gongs, and brief information
about sequence (usually in the form of an arrow, an asterisk, or brief annotation indicating the point in a piece where one leaps to the next piece).

Analytic additions include summaries of scenes that group the pieces by dramatic unit and a list of all the musical pieces played in a given performance, sorted by musical form, which is a primary Javanese conceptual framework both for gamelan practice and accompaniment of dance and theater.

Emerson's introduction to this volume is invaluable, discussing the preparation that went into the musical aspects of these performances and including images of Purbo Asmoro's handwritten lists of repertoire. Extensive end notes are brimming with background information about each piece that is not a standard part of the Solonese wayang repertoire or is treated in a nonstandard manner."

About the Author
Giulio Zambon s first love was physics, but he decided to dedicate himself to software development more than 30 years ago: back when computers were still made of transistors and core memories, programs were punched on cards, and Fortran only had arithmetic IFs. Over the years, he learned a dozen computer languages and worked with all sorts of operating systems. His specific interests were in telecom and real-time systems, and he managed several projects to their successful completion. In 2001 Giulio founded his own company offering computer telephony integration (CTI) services, and he used JSP and Tomcat exclusively to develop the web side of the service platform. Back in Australia after many years in Europe, he now dedicates himself to writing software to generate and solve numeric puzzles. Workout Book Structure All workouts are charted and results tabulated to denote strengths and weaknesses for continued improvement. At the end of a week is a Weekly Summary Chart of the kicks for that week. This allows the coach to review the performance of the kicker for that week. The workout books practice plan is structured to build toward maximum performance when pre-season practice begins.

About the Author
Coach Bill Renner’s football coaching background uniquely qualifies him to understand what coaches and players need to coach and improve their kicking and punting. Coach Renner has 23 years’ of experience as a head football coach, 28 years overall coaching football. He has NFL playing experience and has consulted with college and NFL teams regarding coaching and training kickers and punters. He has coached four kickers and punters from his own team to college scholarships and one who played in the NFL. He has spent the past 30 years coaching and training high school, college and NFL players at his own camps and as a kicking consultant. Coach Renner has written books and articles on coaching kicking and punting techniques and he did his master’s thesis at Virginia Tech on punting. He has researched kicking and punting techniques and refined a kicking and punting training curriculum that over the past 30 years has produce elite kickers and punters. Coach Renner has recently retired from coaching football and is consulting and training coaches and players on football and kicking and punting techniques a full-time basis. The relationship between power and language has been a central theme in critical theory for decades now, yet there is still much to be learned about the sheer force of language in the world in which we live. In Empire of Language, Laurent Dubreuil explores the power-language phenomenon in the context of European and, particularly, French colonialism and its aftermath. Through readings of the colonial experience, he isolates a phraseology based on possession, in terms of both appropriation and haunting, that has persisted throughout the centuries. Not only is this phraseology a legacy of the past, it is still active today, especially in literary renderings of the colonial experience―but also, and more paradoxically, in anticolonial discourse. This phrase shaped the teaching of European languages in the (former) empires, and it tried to configure the usage of those idioms by the "Indigenes." Then, scholarly disciplines have to completely reconsider their discursive strategies about the colonial, if, at least, they attempt to speak up.

Dubreuil ranges widely in terms of time and space, from the ancien régime through the twentieth century, from Paris to Haiti to Quebec, from the Renaissance to the riots in the banlieues. He examines diverse texts, from political speeches, legal documents, and colonial treatises to anthropological essays, poems of the Négritude, and contemporary rap, ever attuned to the linguistic strategies that undergird colonial power. Equally conversant in both postcolonial criticism and poststructuralist scholarship on language, but also deeply grounded in the sociohistorical context of the colonies, Dubreuil sets forth the conditions for an authentically postcolonial scholarship, one that acknowledges the difficulty of getting beyond a colonialism―and still maintains the need for an afterward.

About the Author

Laurent Dubreuil is Professor of Romance Studies and Comparative Literature, Director of the French Studies Program, and member of the cognitive science program and graduate field at Cornell University.
